Tom Nicholson III

Company President

Tom Nicholson III joined his father in the self storage business in 1979 after earning a BLA, four way degree in Business, English, Biology and Psychology from Roanoke College. Tom has been active in the development, construction and management of self storage facilities since that time.

Stuart Wade

Business Development

Stuart joined the firm in 2004 and has been involved in all facets of the self storage asset class. He currently serves as our Business Development Manager and is responsible for new business activities. He especially enjoys the investment aspect of this asset class and is sought out for advice from many owners and operators on how to improve their returns and add value to their portfolio. Stuart serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of Self Storage Now! magazine and on the Board of the South Carolina Self Storage Association. He holds a Commonwealth of Virginia Real Estate license.

Christie Dixon

Controller

Christie Dixon, CPA joined the accounting team for The Nicholson Companies in 1995 and was promoted to the Controller position in 2002. She graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Old Dominion University. She has over 18 years experience in the accounting field.

Scott Styer

Marketing Director

Scott Styer joined AAAA in 2009 after overseeing a Top 25 Self Storage Operator in Northeast Florida for more than 8 years. Scott is a graduate of Lanier Technical College in Atlanta GA and currently handles the AAAA Marketing and Affiliate Programs and is a member of the Operations Department.

Irma Dinini

Office Manager

Irma DiNini served 8 years in the U. S. Navy prior to joining The Nicholson Companies. Irma joined the Company in 1995 as the Receptionist. She was promoted to Office Manager in 2011 and has over 20 years experience in the administrative field.

Erin Dawson

District Manager

Erin Dawson had over 5 years of sales and management experience prior to joining the Company in March 2006 as Facility Manager for the Laburnum Race Track location in Richmond, VA. She was promoted to Operations Specialist in December of 2009 and to District Manager in April 2013.

Stuart Trask

District Manager

Stuart Joined AAAA in 2010 as a facility manager bringing with him 5 years of sales experience. He was promoted to Operations Specialist in 2011 and promoted again to District Manager in 2014.

Kelley Dvorak

District Manager

Kelley Dvorak joined the Company in 2006 as Facility Manager of the Lowery Rd. in Norfolk, VA location bringing over 5 years of retail sales experience with her. Kelley was promoted to Operations Specialist in December 2009 and to District Manager in April 2013.

Jim Jackson

District Manager

Jim joined the Nicholson Team in 2016 after 18 years as Regional Vice President of Operations for a national self storage company. He brings with him many strengths and experience in planning, organization, margin growth, manager development and customer focus.

Ashley Shealey

Lead Programmer

Ashley joined the Company in 2011 as Facility Manager of the Virginia Beach Blvd in Virginia Beach, VA location bringing over 5 years of sales and property management experience with her. Ashley was then promoted to Operations Specialist in 2014 and transitioned to the corporate office to supervise our Storage and Moving Sales Center about 6 months later. Effective June 2016, Ashley has taken on the full time role of lead programmer for NOA – our storage intelligence suite built on Salesforce.

Ty Reynolds

Human Resources Manager

Ty has over 12 years of human resources experience to include recruiting, performance management, employee relations, benefits, payroll, compliance issues and workers’ compensation. Prior to joining the team in 2013 as the Human Resources Manager, her previous work experience has been working for Virginia State and Local government agencies; she is a graduate of Northwest Florida State College.

Summer Forbes

Corporate/Marketing Administrative Support

Summer joined the Nicholson team in October of 2014 bringing with her over 10 years of experience in marketing, advertising and public relations as well as 12 years of experience as a paralegal at several law firms in the tidewater area. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in communications and psychology from Old Dominion University.

Shannon Hall

Corporate/Marketing Administrative Support

Shannon Hall joined AAAA in 2005 as Assistant Manager brining with her over 5 years of sales and administrative experience. Shannon was promoted to Facility Manager in September 2006 then promoted to Operations Specialists in December 2015 and has since transitioned into the corporate office as Corporate Support.
